MCCU History: Timeline
January 1963: Matadors Federal Credit Union founded at San Fernando Valley State College with assets of $13,500 by the end of the year
November 1986: Moved branch to 9401 Reseda Blvd, one block from campus
1986: Credit Union introduces first ATM machine at Northridge branch
1986: Started offering ATM Cards
1996: Credit Union introduces Savers Plus Accounts
1997: Matadors.org website launched
1998: MasterMoney Debit Cards launched
1998: Members can now apply for a loan online with 1Hour Loan
2001: Converts to State charter to offer membership to the community
April 2003: Opened Chatsworth branch and new corporate offices
August 2008: Won first of four awards for Best Credit Union from the L.A. Daily News Reader's Choice
