Video: How to Avoid an Overdraft Fee
Video: How to Avoid an Overdraft Fee9/10/2019

(Mom and college student child are texting each other)

Tyler: Dang! I need to pay this overdraft fee on my checking account-again!
Mom: Again?
Tyler: Yes! SO annoying!
Mom: Maybe you can do something about these fees
Tyler: Other than pay ’em?
Mom: Yes. Like be more careful
Tyler: How?
Mom: Link it to your savings so money transfers into your checking before your balance goes negative
Tyler: Cool! What else?
Mom: Um … keep track of what you have in your account
Tyler: Sounds like a lot of work
Mom: I know you have a phone. Get the mobile app from the credit union so you always know your balance.
Tyler: Hmm…
Mom: Oh, and think before you swipe
Tyler: SMH ???
Mom: Your debit card? To make sure you have enough to cover it?
Tyler: Oh. Yeah … Got it! Great ideas. Thanks, Mom!
